How to Connect Zoom to CaseRescue.ai

Follow these steps to connect your Zoom account so CaseRescue.ai can automatically analyze your call recordings.

About 5 minutes👤 Your Zoom Account Owner or an Admin
Requirement:A paid Zoom plan (Pro, Business, or Enterprise) with Cloud Recording enabled.
STEP 1

Go to the Zoom Marketplace

Open your browser and go to https://marketplace.zoom.us

Sign in with the Zoom account that has the call recordings you want analyzed.

STEP 2

Create a New App

  • In the top-right corner, click Develop
  • Click Build App
  • Look for Server-to-Server OAuth and click Create
  • When asked for a name, type: CaseRescue Integration
  • Click Create
STEP 3

Copy Your Credentials

After creating the app, you'll see a page called App Credentials with three values: Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.

Copy all three values and save them somewhere safe (like a note or password manager). You'll paste them into CaseRescue.ai at the end.

The Client Secret is only shown once — if you lose it, you'll need to regenerate it.
STEP 4

Fill In the App Information

  • Click Information in the left sidebar
  • App Name: CaseRescue Integration
  • Short Description: Call recording analysis
  • Company Name: (your company name)
  • Developer Name: (your name)
  • Developer Email: (your email)
  • Click Continue
STEP 5

Skip Event Subscriptions

You'll see a section called Feature. You don't need to change anything here. Click Continue.

STEP 6

Add Permissions (Scopes)

This is the most important step — it tells Zoom what CaseRescue.ai is allowed to access.

Click Scopes in the left sidebar, then click the + Add Scopes button. You need to add 7 permissions. Search for each one and check the box:

  • Meetings (search for "meeting"): View a meeting — meeting:read:meeting:admin
  • View a user's meetings — meeting:read:list_meetings:admin
  • Recording (search for "cloud_recording"): Lists all cloud recordings for a user — cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings:admin
  • View a recording — cloud_recording:read:recording:admin
  • Scheduler (search for "scheduler"): View a user info — scheduler:read:user:admin
  • User (search for "user"): View a user — user:read:user:admin
  • View users — user:read:list_users:admin
  • Click Done after adding all scopes — you should now see all 7 scopes listed — then click Continue
If you can't find these permissions, ask your Zoom Account Owner to do this step — admin access is required.
STEP 7

Activate the App

  • Click Activation in the left sidebar
  • Click Activate your app
  • You should see a green message confirming your app is active
STEP 8

Connect in CaseRescue.ai

  • Go to app.caserescue.ai and log in
  • Click on Settings in the sidebar
  • Scroll down to find the Zoom Meetings (API) card
  • Enter the three values you copied in Step 3: Account ID, Client ID, Client Secret
  • Click Connect
  • You'll see a list of your Zoom users — select the ones you want CaseRescue.ai to monitor
  • Click Save
🎉You're all set! CaseRescue.ai will now automatically pull your Zoom recordings and analyze them.

// Good to Know

  • Only calls 3 minutes or longer are analyzed. Shorter calls are logged but skipped.
  • Zoom takes up to 30 minutes to process a recording after a meeting ends. After that, CaseRescue.ai picks it up within 5 minutes.
  • Cloud Recording must be turned on in your Zoom account settings. This is only available on paid Zoom plans.
  • Calls in Spanish are automatically translated to English.
  • You can change which users are monitored at any time in Settings.

// Troubleshooting

I don't see the "Build App" or "Server-to-Server OAuth" option

You need to be the Zoom Account Owner or have developer permissions. Ask your Account Owner to go to: Admin → User Management → Roles → Role Settings → Advanced features, and enable "View" and "Edit" for Server-to-Server OAuth.

I can't find the recording scopes

These require admin-level access. Make sure you're signed in as the Account Owner or an Admin.

My recordings aren't showing up in CaseRescue.ai

Make sure Cloud Recording is enabled in your Zoom settings, wait at least 30 minutes after the meeting ends for Zoom to process the recording, check that you selected the correct users to monitor in Settings, and make sure the meeting was recorded to the cloud (not locally).

I lost my Client Secret

Go back to marketplace.zoom.us → Manage → your app → App Credentials → click Regenerate next to Client Secret. Then update it in CaseRescue.ai Settings.
